Summary
Chris and Allison move to a new town because Chris needs money. He starts working as a host at a restaurant, but to get more money he works at a vampire bar where he allows vampires to drink his blood for tips. Then he meets Peter, a vampire who just talks to him, not realizing it was Peter Hale until the coven, who Allison befriends at school, asks them. Peter expertly creates a cover that they have been dating. Can they keep this cover? Or will it ruin what they have?

“Run away with me,” Peter begged.
“You know we can’t,” Chris answered dully. “They’ll kill us both. Also, you’re not even out of school yet.”
Peter tipped Chris’ chin to look him in the eye. It was one of those rare times when Chris thought Peter might actually be more mature than him. His eyes were dark. He looked furious, deadly.
“He’s going to kill you if you stay here.”
