Summary
“Do you reckon you’re going to be arrested for abducting a prince?” Henry asks, somewhat serious, considering Shaan had orders to take him somewhere completely differently than Austin.
Shaan barks out a dry laugh. He seems startled at the sound, and immediately takes a long sip of his tea. “I didn’t abduct you, Your Royal Highness,” he replies. "You asked to be taken elsewhere."
Canon compliant until the e-mails are leaked, this fic follows Henry (and Shaan) after Henry makes the decision to go rogue, ignoring his grandmother's orders and leaving the country. This fic is mostly Henry's point of view with the exception of the first chapter, which is from Alex's point of view.
Trigger warnings for this one are references to depression and suicide.

Alex is drunk and not jealous of the guy his roommate is flirting with. Alex is drunk and really wants Henry to pull cheesy faces with him in this photo booth. Alex is drunk and very confused when Henry says he loves him and then dips right as the camera goes off.

As Alex is cleaning up the table Henry vacated, he finds a crumpled piece of paper left behind, and quirks his eyebrow in surprise. Henry has never before left trash outside of his tray. Maybe he really was out of it today. Alex did notice that he looked worse for wear earlier – his voice was very quiet when he ordered, there were darker bags under his eyes, he moved lethargically, and he looked paler than usual.
Picking up the crumpled piece of paper, Alex notices that it looks like a page from a fancy notebook. His curiosity prevailing, he opens and smooths it out.

Summary
Henry has spent many lifetimes roaming this earth, far more than any other man he’s met. When he'd rejected Apollo’s advances and refused to be his lover, the jealous god cursed him with two gifts – immortality, and a soul mate Mark, a statue on his forearm, the promise of love but the curse of never knowing when, or for how long, his lover will be in his life.
So he spends his life befriending artists, allows the great sculptors to cast him in stone and draw him on canvas and hopes it will lead him to the one who might have answers to it all. But as time moves forward and the world advances, so does Henry. He reads and learns, occupies his endless hours with knowledge and begins to think it was all a cruel joke, that Apollo just held love over his head and never intended for him to find it.
He's visiting one of the sculptures of himself at the V&A, a direct likeness to the mark on his forearm when he feels it – a gaze that drops when Henry looks up, and when he sees the boy standing across the atrium, also admiring the statue… it all falls into place.
Maybe love wasn't completely avoiding him, after all, he just was too impatient to wait for it.

“Oh fuck–” Henry hears, dragging him from inside his head, mere moments before he sees the cup of liquid that is coming straight for the front of his t-shirt. He isn't just splashed with a little bit of it, it’s an almost full drink and it soaks the front of him. Whatever it is is lukewarm from the sun, sticky and smells like coke mixed with something alcoholic.
His head lifts, gaze shifting from his own soaked torso to the culprit before him. The sight leaves him forgetting entirely about whatever has just been thrown over him and his grimace fades as soon as it has appeared because his eyes are met by the single most beautiful man Henry’s seen in his life before.
He quite honestly forgets how to breathe entirely.
OR: Pez has a great idea to sneak the youngest royals to New York pride. Henry quite literally bumps into the love of his life.

Henry is a doctor at a NY public hospital. His visa to work in the States expires, and he has to leave the country. His only option for another working visa is to go back to the UK for a year and apply from there, something he is not ready to do. His boss, June Claremont-Díaz, offers the help of her recently graduated attorney brother. It is not just that nobody asked Alex how he feels about helping Henry. It is that he and Alex met a couple of years ago, before Alex went to Texas to do his internship, and it didn’t go well. Every time they’ve met since, they’ve been rude to each other. Nothing predicts this time might be different.

Beacons of delight, say exactly what they think, our future is in their hands, et cetera. But they’re also tiny germ factories. Chances are, she and her delectable father will be back to see you sooner rather than later, and then you can give him your number, arrange to see him in a decidedly non-professional setting, and get your leg over. Simple.”
Or, Henry became a paediatrician to help sick children—not to flirt with their adults.
