Summary
The entirety of Ivy U is smitten with Klavier Gavin—with one exception. Apollo Justice could do without Klavier’s constant presence in the quad, where he serenades passerby with acoustic versions of his band's songs. Apollo is also not particularly fond of Klavier’s clothes, his hair, his tendency to sprinkle German into his conversations, or the fact that, despite all of this, Klavier is still at the top of the class.
So when Klavier asks Apollo to help him start a club for aspiring lawyers on campus, Apollo isn’t entirely sure why he accepts. It’s a resume builder, he tells himself. It’s not like he has to like the guy.
Except, well....he's starting to think that he might.

Summary
Klavier Gavin flies to close to the sun in an attempt to outshine Apollo Justice; his wings, made of wax, melt and fall apart in the sunlight, and he burns, burns, burns, falling downwards towards his demise. The world stands and watches, in awe of the spectacular display, of the death of hubris.
Or, in other words: Klavier gets embarassed by Apollo at Guitar Hero and the party watches it happen.

There wouldn’t be a hell hot enough for the Phantom, Apollo thinks. He resents the fact that he was allowed to live, that the sniper that shot him didn’t aim for his head, and that he’s recovering in hospital when Clay Terran was laid to rest not even an hour ago. With his fists clenched in the sofa cushions, he wonders vaguely if he could find the Phantom’s hospital room and finish the job.
And then he wonders: what was that?

Summary
Phoenix would love to say that he's put the past behind him, and that there are no unsolved mysteries from the courtroom bombing - but in truth, there's one thing from last December that he can't seem to stop thinking of.
Having regained consciousness for the first time after his assault, Apollo had been delirious. But at the same time, he'd held onto Phoenix's sleeve with an iron grip, and asked for his father. He'd asked for the man Spark Brushel had told him was dead over a year ago. He'd asked for his father, despite having told them all he was an orphan.
And upon the insistence that Phoenix call a man he'd thought to be dead, he catches the hint of a truth buried, and physically can't stop until he brings it to light.
Thus: Phoenix makes his first foray into amateur detective work, pries into Apollo's personal life (again), and digs much deeper than he should.

Summary
Apollo Justice is... fine. He should be, right?
Considering what happened in the trial, he should be relieved. Happy, even.
He bumps into Prosecutor Gavin, but despite his pleasant demeanour, something was not quite right. Of course, anyone could guess why - he had to watch his brother pronounced guilty for the second time in the short span of a few months.
This meeting might've been predetermined, or an odd twist of fate. But it also brings new revelations and emotions for the both of them, so terribly intertwined in a plot that spanned over seven long years.
What should they call this emotion that threatens to overwhelm them both?

Apollo is over by the filing cabinet when it happens: his eyes practically roll back into his head, his hand slips from the half-opened drawer, his knees buckle and he falls to the floor.
The kid is going to be the death of him. From courthouse bombings to head injuries to passing out in the office, Phoenix absolutely cannot keep up with all the strain Apollo keeps putting on his heart. What was it the doctors told him after his car crash? Take it easy? Yeah, right.

The following is a short and non-exhaustive list of things Phoenix is expecting to happen during his visit with Kristoph Gavin in solitary confinement: thinly veiled insults concealed underneath a perfect smile; a near-lethal amount of passive aggression; an extension on the previous seven years of psychological mind games; and last but not least, another pitiful and fruitless attempt at breaking his black Psyche-Locks.
What he’s not expecting - and could probably have never predicted - is for Apollo Justice to already be sitting in the chair opposite him.
“My, my,” Kristoph murmurs, glancing between the two of them with a calculated, icy-eyed stare. “How interesting.”
