And Pigsy had no idea how to deal with them.

Chips are good. Very normal, a bit mundane. A snack that humans and demons alike can agree is delicious.Chips are dependable. If you buy a bag of peach-flavored chips, you will get a bag of peach-flavored chips. Simple as that.
Chips are also very distracting. Pop open a bag of peach chips and you can successfully push down hundreds of years worth of bad feelings.
Wukong liked chips, especially in situations like these.
Or: I wanted to write the scene near the end of S5 E10 where Wukong and MK talk on Pigsy's roof. I really wanted to get into Wukong's head during that conversation.
