[ MY FATHER WOULDN’T LET ME ]
A look of horror crossed Roadrunner’s face. Coyote flipped the sign.
[ NOT UNTIL I CAUGHT YOU ]
The look of horror doubled. Roadrunner replied:
[ BUT YOU CAUGHT ME ]
Flip.
[ WHY NOT SPEAK NOW? ]
Coyote shrugged. Non-verbal communication worked just fine. Why fix what was not broken?
And then, Roadrunner’s face contorted into something Coyote had never seen on him before: anger.
[ DON’T YOU WANT TO CLAIM YOUR VICTORY OVER THAT ******* *******? ]
Upon seeing the sign he had produced, his face scrunched up even further and he beeped out:
“..-. ..- -.-. -.- .. -. --. / .- ... ... .... --- .-.. .”
“FUCKING ASSHOLE”
OR
After finally catching the Roadrunner, Wile E. Coyote takes on a new challenge: Finding his voice.

Kevin startles, “Whoa! What’s up? Want more food?”
The coyote has half a mind to bolt out of the restaurant and leave the humans stranded but… they’re not just humans to him anymore. They’re friends… pretty much his only pack of choice. He pulls out a sign as he shakes those mushy thoughts from his head.
[Idea. Need to go.]
And he hauled ass out of the door, hearing someone yell and curse after him. He doesn’t care.
He has a blueprint to create. A genius plan that came to him. How he didn’t think of it before was mere oversight.
If he still finds it hard to read the Roadrunner’s moves at times, why not just read his mind?-
Or, in which Wile with all his genius comes up with the idea to read his prey's mind to try and make his traps as efficient as possible. Surely nothing goes wrong with this plan, right? Surely the bird doesn't think of his dear preadtor in a more intimate way, right?

Summary
It was easier to let the knowledge that Wile E. had been starving sit in the back of his mind, and collect dust. It was easy to watch him get hurt and get back up and get hurt and get back up, and it was easy not to let himself think or feel anything about it. Roadrunner had, every time, taken the easy route in their friendship.
He wished he could say sorry.
