Summary
Walter's cover is blown; Merlin has sensed his metamorphosis and how could he not? It released enough magic to be felt the next kingdom over. He is the undoing of Morgana's corruption, and somepony—someone—that might become her downfall is too valuable a player to overlook, changeling or not.
Walter and Barbara are brought before King Merlin's court, but it won't be just the alicorn who meets them there. Stricklander has been sent on this reconnaissance mission to King Merlin's capital, Avalon, to ingrain himself in the life of the changeling queen's mortal enemy and that of his newest, most promising champion. Morgana's most loyal drone is skilled in espionage, and he has prepared to undertake this mission extensively. He understands these ponies and their kindness, and he will have no problem sliding into this role undetected, to uncover the truth behind Merlin's "secret weapon" and bring it back to his queen.
He'll find those secrets, but he doesn't expect to find love and happiness for himself in the process. He doesn't expect to find a place to belong.
He doesn't expect the hunger to finally stop.
Love magic is a fickle thing. It is dramatic and unpredictable, and it has terrible timing. And just when Walter, reformed and ready to make this life his own commits, it has one last change he'll need to make. Whether he knows it or not.

Nomura, Nari, Strickler, Toby... All gone. All dead if Jim doesn't do something.
That something? Travel back in time all the way to the beginning and do better. Get Strickler and his mom together, save his long dead friends and make Toby the Trollhunter.Only nothing is as straight forward as that.
Because the amulet is now split between him and Toby, the original and the new Trollhunter, which is really not what he had in mind. And it seems as if he might be able to unlock some of his friends memories with daylight...This is going to be a fix it with a focus on Jim, keeping characters IN character and giving changelings their rights. Because they were done dirty in the movie.
