Summary
Bryan is administered the cure, but he’s not out of the woods quite yet. The cure may have stopped the infection in its tracks and allowed his body to expel the foreign… protrusions, but you know the phrase. You can’t put the toothpaste back in the tube.
While helicopters circle the hospital of Raccoon City General, and word of a nuclear strike crackles through radios, a wounded once-monster attempts to escape the city with the help of others along the way.

It looked like something that should have been in a medical textbook under the chapter "soon to be dead don't even bother with intervention", and not on Bryan's actual arm.
He felt like he was gonna puke
"Shit" they said it in unison as the man yanked him closer to examine the nasty sight.
Huh. Bryan thought in a daze his brain obviously trying to compartmentalize the horror of his imminent death and instead focusing on unhelpful facts like. This guy sure can yank me around with no problem definitely an awakening better saved for when he wasn't in immediate danger.

Summary
Bryan Hodukavich was a man of many regrets.
Those regrets included, but were not limited to:
1) Getting up in the morning.
2) Grabbing that questionable chicken salad sandwich when he went to fill up his car.
3) Eating said chicken salad sandwich. But his biggest regret of the night, by far, was agreeing to take the Raccoon City General job just because it offered double pay and an excuse to stay away from his apartment for most of the night. Especially after he sent that poor old woman flying with his car.
(Or: Bryan and Michelle break up over the phone, and in an effort to keep his dick intact and on his person, he agrees to ferry the liver-kidney-heart-whatever-it-is to Raccoon City General. There he runs into rookie cop Leon S. Kennedy. This changes nothing.
This changes everything.) -

Summary
Bryan made countless bad decisions in his life. One of them was being so indecisive and spineless that his girlfriend, Michelle, finally got fed up with him and broke up with him, plunging his entire world into darkness.
Bryan only recently started getting used to life as a single man. He threw himself into work until he was practically running on fumes, hoping to forget the pain and self-loathing eating away at him. Then came his second terrible decision: accepting an overtime shift to deliver a package to Raccoon City, all because the pay was double.
Bryan swore that if he ever got the chance to go back in time, he would never accept that delivery, not even for ten times the pay!
And as if the Heavens had heard Bryan's prayer, he actually returned to the past.
