Summary
Hoenn is lost. Kyogre has swept through the Pokemon world uncontested. Rayquaza was never there, Sky Pillar crumbled and the Red orb is lost to the bottom of the ocean. The last hope lay in the Blue orb and it sending the legendary back to it's slumber.
It stole one of Hoenn's beloved champions instead.
Now Wallace is alone, trying protect as many people as he can as Hoenn's cities sink one by one. The last thing he expected was a second chance, to be thrown into a Hoenn still standing. He'll do his best to keep it that way, if only things were as he remembered.
Tldr; Wallace from a doomed Sapphire gets dropped into Alpha Sapphire. Shenanigans ensue.

Kamal looked up at Boris, his brow furrowed with confusion. “You… Why?”
The flower on the magnolia tree was so heavy that it was scarcely attached to the branch any more, Boris noticed. “I don’t know,” he said. “Probably to tell him I am still here, alive.” His green eyes were cloudy. “To get… closure, like my therapist said.”
Kamal let out a long breath. Boris couldn’t see his face, but he heard him turn and scoot closer to Boris. “Would you like for me to help you?”
