Frank blinked at the slab-like outline of his beloved and made a sleep-slurred inquiry: “Mmmh? What’s going on?”
“I need you to go down to the bunker.” As Frank’s eyes adjusted he saw that Bill had already put clothes on and had a gun slung across his back.
“What the hell…?” He sat up and shivered a little in the cold room as the blanket fell away.
“We’ve got Infected incoming. A big pack of them. The perimeter’s going to hold, but in case it doesn’t I need you to get downstairs while I deal with them.”

Summary
“And you’re sure you know where you’re going?” Bill asked for the third time that morning, hanging back from the fence as Frank shouldered the bag.
“Due north through the woods until I hit the highway, then follow it east until I smell bacon.” They both forced a laugh. Frank’s face was cheerful, but he couldn’t hide the nerves that stiffened his body language, nor the darkness in his eyes. Yet he mastered himself and placed a hand on Bill’s shoulder. “Thank you for all of this. It’s been… a revelation.”
“You just get there safe.”
“Will do.”
Something leaden and corrosive slogged through Bill’s veins as he unlocked the gate and ushered Frank out into the world. His senses were on high alert on this side of the fence and he felt edgy and ice cold. “Don’t fall in any holes,” he offered lamely.
“Hey, it’s worked out well for me so far…” A burst of a smile like sunshine that quickly disappeared behind a cloud. “Bye, Bill. Take care.”

This is a fic of a fic, the brilliant, beautiful In Favour With Their Stars. It takes place slotted somewhere into Chapter 20: Epilogue. Relatively low angst. Just an idea that popped into my head this morning and I became possessed until I finished it.

But not all is well aboard the Revenge, for his crewmates have brought their own ghosts aboard...
This canon-compliant fic follows Buttons as he deals with his own past trauma and that of his crewmates manifesting as spirits and ghosts, and learns how to let go of them. Happy Halloween!

Modern AU: Things have been going great for Oluwande and Jim since they finally decided to do something about their mutual pining. They're a few weeks past their first hook up and they're about to have sex when Oluwande finds something unexpected in Jim's sex toy drawer - a knife. He asks Jim to show him how knives can be used for adult fun times. Consensual knife play / sensation play ensues! Oluwande has thoughts about trust and vulnerability.
Content warning section: Hopefully everything major is covered by the tags, but please let me know if I've missed something that should be tagged or have a warning and I'll make sure it's covered!
There's brief mention of blood play but it doesn't actually happen, and the knife play is safe, sober, risk-aware and consensual. Jim is a nonbinary character who in my story has had top surgery, which is implied but not explicitly mentioned. They use a strap on for sex and there is no description of their genitals.
