Summary
They continued to stare at each other and Hob felt the familiar coil of heat low in his belly. Well, that answered that question: still desperately attracted to him even after all these years.
Picks up right where "The Sound of Her Wings" left off. How Hob and Dream's reunion (and the days, weeks, months after) go. How they get to somewhere nearer my fic "Whispers to the Night." Will use concepts from both the Netflix series and the Comics in addition to my own.

Summary
It’s the right day, but the year is all wrong, and Dream suspects that there’s something else not quite right even before he finds himself standing in front of the shuttered remains of the White Horse Tavern. Still, he’s chilled in a way he’s not accustomed to feeling, reminiscent of the hopeless, free-falling frost that climbed up his spine and inside his gut the day he was meant to meet Hob when he was imprisoned. And that’s what it is, he realizes, this cold feeling. Hopelessness.
Should Dream seek him out, would Hob welcome him as a friend, or turn his shoulder as he would on an intruder? It’s what he would deserve, Dream muses as he’s preparing to turn heel from the tavern’s closed gates, even though as he’s resigning himself to shame he’s also gearing up to make this his next mission, his next purpose: to find Hob Gadling.
Alternatively: Dream and Hob find each other in 2021, and see no reason why they have to wait centuries to see each other again. And again.

Summary
This was the best kind of dream, and Hob was determined to savor every moment of it.
He pressed a lazy trail of kisses along Dream’s jawline, watching with hungry eyes as Dream lifted his chin to grant him easier access, his inky hair mussed even further than its usual artistically unkempt state. Dream’s eyes were closed, which was a shame, because there was very little that Hob loved more than the way Dream’s dark eyes burned as Hob slowly took him apart.
God, Hob wanted him.

Summary
After their meeting in 2022, Dream seems more willing to see Hob more often than before, which delights the immortal immensely. Finally, after so many years, his friend is starting to open up a bit - about his experiences, the missed meeting, his name and titles.
And Hob dreams of him as always, only this time, it's not just a dream, but the Dream. Dream, in his castle, with galaxies on his coat and a smile on his face.
