Summary
Easy Company quickly becomes pack. Lipton establishes himself in that pack, he's protective of his boys and takes care of them. Dick struggles to keep his mates safe as he moves through the ranks. Nixon fights to keep himself out of the bottom of the bottle and be there for his mates. And Speirs? Speirs just wants to be loved for the man he is, not feared for the gossip that has surrounded him. All three Alpha fight tooth and nail for love.

Summary
Elida Gardner, Callsign "Aegis", has chased her way through life following the loss of her younger sister. She enlisted in the army to separate herself from things she couldn't change, and save the things she could. Now, after years of stagnation, she gets ambushed one morning in the gym after a particularly dark nightmare, knocking the man prone only to come face to face with her C.O. and two strangers. She comes to find that they're from Task Force 141 and her C.O. has pushed her through to sign on as their new combat medic. But can she keep the pace she's been setting, or will she- or they run her ragged. Can Aegis keep up appearances? Or will the weight she's been carrying finally drag her beneath the waters edge. Or worse, will someone pull her out of the water and make her learn to stand again?

Summary
The summer after her fourth year is the worst one yet and Harry knows with grim certainty that her Uncle is going to kill her before she can even reach her fifteenth birthday. So she leaves. Finds herself by the edge of an forest - knows that no one is going to look for her out there.
And she's content on her own - finds the rhythm of survival. Learns.
She knows that the day she meets Nagini that she should have left. She's had dreams looking out from those exact slitted pupils - knows that she puts her life in danger every day she stays with Voldemort's familiar. But it's hard to be scared when Nagini huffs about her 'silly speaker' and complain about him working too hard and praises him for his toasty winter bed.
But then, it's not Harry Potter who Tom meets that day in the clearing.
