Summary
Humans are sentimental and Tsukishima has always thought Yamaguchi was a perfect example of it. All the evidence he needed lied in the old, battered polaroid only held together by magic that Yamaguchi seemed to bring everywhere he went.
It wasn’t anything particularly special either. It had a simple charm, allowing anyone who touched the photos to feel the emotions of the photographer at the time they took it. But it wouldn't have been too troublesome to get the same charm cast on a new Polaroid either.
All in all, sentimentality seemed to explain it just fine.

Define pathetic: Sugawara Koushi is in love with his best friend. He has absolutely no plans on doing anything about it, and there’s absolutely nothing in the world that will make him want do something about it, he’s that pathetic.
But then-
“Kou-chan, please be my boyfriend!”
(Even more pathetic, however: Oikawa Tooru is in love with his best friend. No, he didn’t actually muster up the guts to ask him out. He just asked said best friend to be his fake boyfriend instead. Nice kill, Tooru.)

“Of course, Eri-chan. This is your home. You’ll always have me and Shosan.”
There's only one way to keep Eri out of the Commissions's hands, and it's legally adopting her. But only married couples can adopt in Japan.
The solution is obvious, really. Shota and Hizashi already act like an old married couple anyway.
