Nicole Haught worked hard in the Toronto P.D., but she never could succumb to the politics within the department to move up within the ranks. So, through her friend Xavier Dolls, she's moved to a remote town in Calgary called Purgatory hoping to make a name for herself as well as help those around her. Moving here was a huge change in her lifestyle that she wasn't sure she'd get used to, but after meeting the beautiful and extremely intelligent Waverly Earp, she honestly felt like she was finally home!

Sitting in her cruiser, Nicole wonders how she ended up down this road on her patrol. She pulls off onto the almost nonexistent shoulder and turns off her headlights, knowing that nobody else would be coming down here at this time of night. The road is a dead end, after all. She realizes she couldn't remember anything about how she got here. Had she driven here specifically, or had she just drifted along on her patrol? She can't remember anything about the last however long...
She should have been paying better attention, but every time she was alone her thoughts drifted back to Waverly.
