Remus slipped to the front and began driving, eyeing the man in the back wearily. Now, Remus had never worked on a case like Sirius’ before. Looks that could kill, set houses on fire and nobody would suspect a thing.
Worst of all, Remus was falling for it all.
He knew that Sirius did it – a bat of mascara eyelashes and a glossy pout did nothing to fool him.
But exactly that was what was driving him to just let Sirius run off free, live his posh boy life as an innocent man.
Sirius was sighing audibly in the back, twisting and turning in his seat.
“Do you really have to put those tight handcuffs on?” Sirius moaned, and the sound and sight of Sirius like that put the entirety of the investigation to an end. No more taking him to station, no.
Remus was going to do the rest of investigating all by himself.

Summary
Worried about the future, Sirius breaks up with Remus the summer before their final year at Hogwarts. When September rolls around and Remus shows up to the platform, his arm slung around a girl, Sirius realizes he fucked up. No one gets to touch his Moony like that. After a month of ignoring each other, the tension is too much.

A shiver echoes through his body, and times flows around him. It’s as if it’s all rewriting itself back again, redoing and fixing and whispering in every alluring language. This is it. This exact moment. He’s at Remus’ mercy. And he fucking wants it.
Looking up with stubborn eyes and a deep breath, Sirius pulls himself out of his momentary pause. He ignores the gentle way Remus grips at his neck, just there to whisper a silent warning. A reminder of control. Control Sirius never fucking wants again. He’ll give it all up for this man. But it’s a bit early to be admitting that.
