Buck stops in his tracks, because if he’s anything it’s not subtle. The man in front of him is gorgeous. Sure, he’s not dressed his Sunday best in a wrinkled black t-shirt and jeans, but they hug him in every sense of the word from his broad shoulders to his packing hips. His dark brown hair is a mess too, but almost artfully so the way it sits like a fuzzy teepee on top of his head, and his eyes are like deep pools of dark chocolate Buck would drown in given the chance.
But he’s also the man who wrote that scathing review. He remembers because he strolled in, ordered an Americano and a slice of pecan pie, and never came back. Buck was never good at math before dropping out of school entirely, but it’s not that hard to put two and two together.
