I know you have a hard time accepting the same might be true of Lena, but I don't want you making the same mistake I made.”
Kara took special care in returning her belongings to her bag, careful not to break anything, before taking a deep breath and responding, “I know how you feel about them, Kal, but Lena doesn't read that way to me. Not when I met her, not for the years we were friends, and not now.”

Season 2 if Kara and Lena had met years previously and were friends for years before everything went down between Superman and Lex. Kal and Alex are sure that Lena will eventually follow the same path as Lex, but Kara is convinced that she knows better.

She's smarter, faster and stronger and my brain ran away with this idea. Also, glasses are a terrible disguise and Kara does not wear them. Her Supergirl outfit is cooler and more Kryptonian and she and Alex are scientists/spies together. Add in Lena Luthor and her incredible attention to detail and we can cut out the 'she didn't immediately guess Supergirl's real identity the second Kara saved her that first time."
Honestly, I don't know what this is, but it made my Housemate laugh when she read what I have so far for chapter two.

I force out the words. “They touched me.” I cannot bring myself to say the word “rape”, not yet.
His entire body tightens at my words, his hand clenching around the ice pack. “Touched you,” he repeats, his dark eyes cold.
I force myself to meet his eyes. “Yes,” I say, as if I am daring him to challenge me.So I was rereading Divergent and I got to the scene where Tris gets attacked. And I couldn't help think, "What if that hadn't been Al? What if Four hadn't gotten there in time? What if things had gone differently?" So I wrote it.
