Summary
Rukia has been having strange dreams over the past few days about a mysterious family. They keep calling her name, but she doesn’t recognize them. At first, she ignored it; however, the dreams became so frequent that even during the day she began to zone out and fall ill without any apparent reason. Three days after her birthday, she lost consciousness and fell into a deep sleep — and no one knows how to wake her.
Her brother, Byakuya, also begins to have visions of his late wife, warning him of an approaching danger.
When Ichigo returns to the Soul Society to check on Rukia, he ends up battling an unknown enemy who is trying to assassinate her. How can they fight an enemy who seems to know their every move? How will they react when they uncover a forbidden part of history — one that no one remembers, yet still exists?
What will become of Rukia... and the rest of the world? Can Ichigo save them, or is this the beginning of a never-ending war?

Summary
Strange, unusually clever hollows haunt a tiny island off the coast of the Izu Peninsula, terrorizing the resident lighthouse keeper and coast guard alike. Or so Captain Ukitake says when he dispatches Ichigo and Rukia to the island on a mission. Their orders: Pose as the new lighthouse keeper and island caretaker, and find and dispatch the hollows.
Oh, and the coast guard will only hire a married couple.

Summary
What good would it do, to tell her right as she starts to completely disappear from his life? It would be better to let her go like this: with banter and smiles that feel stilted. It’d be easier, selfless, and the right thing to do...
...but as Rukia’s face starts to vanish right in front of him, he thinks that perhaps…it wouldn’t hurt to be a bit selfish, just this once. Just with her.
(or: Ichigo and Rukia's goodbye at the end of 423 goes a bit differently, and it changes their entire relationship even when they're both a world apart.)
