Summary
On days like today, after dreaming of all three of them cuddled together and being fucking soft. Days so bad that he’s too fucked in the head to distract himself, he wishes that things with Edward could have been different. He wishes that Ed had asked him if he wanted to get married. He would have said yes so fucking forcefully that Ed would have recoiled. He wishes that he’d been able to give Ed a ring in return. He wishes that Ed cared about his preferences enough to know that he fucking hates green and always has and he’s definitely told Ed about it on multiple occasions in case he picks up the hint.
He continues to wear the emerald ring regardless.
Or: Stede tells Izzy that Edward asked him to marry him. But Izzy's already married to Ed, and now he's pissed.

Summary
Being stranded on a desert island was a novel idea when he was reading about it – especially the flowery romance novels that he keeps on the top shelf, where he could keep them away from judgemental eyes. He’d spent more than one afternoon reading about luxurious castles made of leaves and trees, of songs and music and love found while being utterly lost. There’d even been a dream or two of Edward ravishing him on the sand, just the two of them in their own little world.
The reality is rather… unpleasant.
Most unpleasantly, he’s stuck here with Izzy.
