Summary
Theo barely bit back a swear as the realization struck. He had somehow forgotten in all his nerves leading up to the wedding. However forward thinking Eloise was, she had still been raised as a lady and so would know next to nothing of what transpired in a marriage bed. If he had known he would have prepared her better. Perhaps slipped a pamphlet on anatomy and copulation from the copious medical textbooks he kept on stock for doctoral students in between one of the many books he’d leant her throughout their courtship.
It is their wedding night and Theo comes up with a way to calm a nervous Eloise, with the help of a certain poet he knows she loves.

“What are you doing?” The Alpha asks, his head cocked in obvious interest.
“Nothing,” Charlotte says as innocently as she can, making sure her eyes are trained on the ground.
She can’t risk angering him, no matter how much she wants to rage at someone. Being an Alpha he has the ability to make her submit merely by raising his voice. He could make her do anything, and worst of all, he could make her believe she wanted it in the first place.
It’s that thought that has Charlotte struggling to act demure, even though she’s seconds away from throwing her shoe in his face.
