Summary
How strange that even a very minor event, action or small shift can have such a tremendous effect, as exampled by a butterfly’s wing, flapping at exactly the right moment in time. Small changes in the initial conditions can and will lead to drastic changes in the results. Our lives are an ongoing demonstration of this principle.
Her life had been turned upside down when transplanted over 5,000 miles from home, to the bustling and alien city of London. The move wasn’t without its reasons, but now she’s lost in more ways than one.
Being forced to leave behind all she knew, and everything that forged her, it’s sure to be a turbulent time ahead. Especially learning to cope living within civilization once more, understanding modern technology and all it entails, as well as learning to live with neighbors for the first time in her life. Nothing will be easy.
What changes will be wrought, by simple existence in a place where she was never meant to be? What ripples will be cast; what results will be see in return? What happens when this girl takes her first steps towards an unknown destiny, legacy-bound to her by the father she never knew?

With approval of the council given by the slimmest of margins, Nik is approved to go down with the 100 adolescents to ensure their survival and obedience to the mission. “Uh, well, I, uh…” Mira leans down and kisses Rumi, nipping her lower lip and retreating when she feels Rumi’s tongue trying to slip into her mouth and deepen the kiss, “I think you should stay.”
Rumi's eyes sparkle with mirth. "Really?"
"Yeah, I do." And then Mira's moving strands of purple hair from Rumi's cheeks, cups the back of her in both hands, and pulls her into a kiss. She runs her fingers through the tangle of her braid in both hands, and pulls her into a kiss. But first… She nudges Rumi's nose with her own until she pulls away. "And I think you should play a game with me."
"Oh yeah?"
Mira settles her hands on Rumi's hips, smirking. "Mm-hmm. This game is called… "she pauses for dramatic effect, "'Too Hot.'"

Summary
Mira just stares at her for a few long moments, “ Are you sure? Because this isn’t something you can just jump into and then decide to back out. I have a support system, I have people who are already willing to do this all with me. So I don’t want you doing this out of some weird guilt or sense of responsibility. If you are doing this I want it to be because you are choosing it, choosing them.” Her hand comes to rest on her stomach at the last few words.
“I want this. I want them.” She reiterates. “I’ll show up over and over again until you believe that too.” Her hand gently carrasses the photo again. “This is our kid, our little 1.6 miracle.”
“Okay.” Mira whispers, eyes locked on the ultrasound before looking up at Rumi again. “So how do we do this?”
“I figured we’d get married at the courthouse maybe Saturday if you are free-”
‘WHAT?” Both Mira and Zoey exclaim. A smirk graces Rumi’s lips this time,

A sweet smile contrasts the way Rumi’s jaw clenches and her brow creases. Her eyes search Mira’s own, flickering with uncertainty. Pattern-covered arms lifted from the bed to loosely wrap around Mira’s neck, and for a moment, the taller woman stared at Rumi in disbelief. Is she going to try hiding how she feels? Mira could already feel herself opening her mouth, a well meaning scolding forming on her tongue, only to be interrupted when Rumi herself spoke instead.
