Summary
After quitting Joja, my family declared my life choices a disaster and my move to Pelican Town an even bigger one. A ridiculous joke I never meant to take seriously snowballed into opening a tiny café in Zuzu City instead. One year later, Sebastian got a job and moved to Zuzu. He looked as exhausted by the city as I felt and joined my staff, reluctantly. And somehow, without meaning to, everything began to shift.
This is a slow burn about us, from a stranger, to employer and employee, to friends, to beyond. About the past that shaped us, the story pulled us together, and the bittersweet choices we made.
