As Otto leads his daughter to the altar set at the end of the vaulted chamber of the Royal Sept, the bright and glorious future stretches before his eyes, glowing in the sunlight streaming through the stained windows of the Sept.
His hard work, his careful planning, his cunning and wit finally bore fruit. Alicent is to become the Queen, and soon, she will fill the royal nursery with boys, the heirs to the Targaryen dynasty.

“‘Tis where we found him,” he said matter-of-factly. At her confusion he sighed. “Jon, I mean - our Lord Commander. Whoever killed him, they left him ‘ere to bleed an’ die. Ghost led us ‘ere, Davos and me. He still comes ‘ere, see? Waitin’, I guess.”
Saddened, she looked back. Ghost sat at the feet of his human friend, watching her silently. Perhaps he was waiting for something, but to her, he seemed pretty content. The boy, though, buried his face and hands in Ghost’s mane and wasn’t moving, unless one counted the fine tremors racking his body.
His suffering, so apparent yet ignored by everyone, drew her in like flames draw a moth.
