Dazai really hadn’t expected this outcome. Out of all the possible scenarios that could have occurred, this definitely wasn’t one of them. He laid in the bed, suffocating silence engulfing the room, staring back at what seemed to be a carbon copy of himself.
His mind was still a mess after the disaster of a mission he just went through and this was making it worse.
The other him had a bright grin on his face—one that Dazai himself knew to be fake—as he leaned down with an amused glint in his eye.
“What’s wrong, Osamu~”
The other him dragged out his name in an infuriating manner. It felt strange to hear his own voice call out his name but there were more important things to focus on. He could tell what the other him had asked wasn’t a question—it was very obvious what was wrong and he knew that his copy knew it too. He couldn’t manage a single sentence and just stared back.
“You’re unusually quiet.”
