One thing leads to another, and after a consuming a slightly lethal amount of pills, he's still alive somehow. He can't fucking die. He constantly reminisces about his childhood dream, becoming a hero. That dream was crushed the moment he received his diagnosis: Quirkless. He puts two and two together: He can't be a hero, but he doesn't give a fuck if he's injured, so he might as well be of some help.
