“What?”
“Your wings,” she continued, “I think folding them away isn’t helping. Each time you bring them out or put them away you put a lot of strain onto the joints.”
It wasn’t a bad idea, he knew that. It was just that… Well, his wings weren’t currently strong enough to be anything more than a pair of ornamental appendages attached to his back. A whole lot of limb currently capable of achieving nothing but getting in the way.

“So…” Phainon says as he lounges against a nearby tree, holding a glass filled with some kind of green liquid. “Have you always drunk pomegranate juice with milk, or is that a recent occurrence?”
Mydei exhales heavily and takes another sip. It would have been nice to just stand here and enjoy his drink in silence, but no. If only there were a way to make Phainon shut up—
You could kiss him
Mydei snorts.
Sometimes his brain comes up with the most absurd ideas.
Him? Kissing the Deliverer? What a ridiculous thought. He would not want to kiss another alpha, least of all his fiercest rival.
Mydei, quite the observant alpha, thinks that nothing slips under his gaze. So when his rival and alpha buddy doesn’t show up one day, he is the first one to seek him out. What may have befallen the poor thing?
