Claire gasped as her chest suddenly seized with pain and she gripped at it hoping to alleviate the discomfort. ‘Six. Six will know what to do.’ Claire rolled out of bed, struggling to stay upright, falling to the ground as she crawled to her door, using the handle to pull herself back up and opening the door, using the walls as support. She stumbled out into the hall, relieved to find him standing at the table staring at his computer.
“Mr. Six….” She watched as his head turned towards her and she struggled to get her next words out. “Something's wrong—” She collapsed repeating, “something…” She breathed out before promptly blacking out for a split second. She heard running footsteps and felt strong arms pick her up, while she clutched her chest.

As a night guard, Larry was always making sure that he stayed fully alert and awake during his shifts no matter how tired he was. If he doesn’t, then he has to face some consequences from not only his boss, but also from those who come to life when the sun goes down.

"Okay shithead, you just expect me to abandon my friend to an eldritch abomination?" Z snaps back. He's still in the water, folding his arms across the pool's ledge.
"…We're friends?"
"Oh fuck off, man. This is the last time I'll try to save you."
Instead of another insulting reply Z expects, Regect just… stands still. It's hard for Z to read him, especially because he doesn't really have a face to emote with, but he seemed almost confused.
"Wait, no actually?"
In which Z debates the nature of his relationship with Regect while trying to escape a liminal space full of pools over and over again. Featuring a friendly school of fish and their sick ass city.

Larry was being dramatic. It was just a bit of a headache (that he’d woken up with), then he hadn’t eaten much (crackers and toast made him gag), and a teeny, tiny fever (he’d started shaking in the shower, body warring with the contrasting temperature raining down on him).
But he was fine. Certainly well enough to go to work, in any case.

Larry's sick and decides to go to work despite that. Thankfully his family at the museum is able to do what he can't (take care of his stubborn hide).
