Summary
Soobin couldn’t have kissed him even if Beomgyu had begged him. This is the only fic ever that I was so distraught to have finished it that I did NOT mark it as read or bookmark it FOR 6 WHOLE FREAKING MONTHS AND YET IT HAS NOT LEFT MY MIND LIKE AT ALL IN THOSE 6 MONTHS. I kiiind of regret not bookmarking this when I read it back in early August cause it was just so fresh and i would have written like a 3000 essay on it but its alright cause I was also depressed and would have cried a thousand times more trying to write my thoughts. I WILL say that this story right here worked its way through on my top3 tubatu fics, it just HAS to be there. The thing I love the most is the characterizationssss! This has been the most Soobinie Soobin and the most Beomgyuful Beomgyu and Hyuka and Yeonjun and Taehyun were just sooooo perfectly written!!! The world felt so real, I could almost touch it! The plot, everything ahhhh it was just too too much fun to read, I enjoyed and savoured every second of reading this the first time and since then I have come sooo many times back to reread my fav parts. What is funny is this was my yearly longfic LOL it's funny how every year during summer where I have the time to just read fanfic nonstop i decide to read a longfic that will completely then change the trajectory of my year until next summer. I truely am still randomly thiking about second son soogyu a lot, that's where my mind goes when I try to fall asleep, like what are soogyu doing in that lil universe rn? This is not just my 2025 yealy summer longfic, I'm afraid it's a timestamp in my tubatu fic reading journey.... Author beautifulnotrealistic I am so so so grateful for this old lil story and I thank you so so so much for it, thank you!
March 2026 edit: Reread the whole thing ona whim because I was missing them sososososooo badly. I was busy with uni but whoooo cares when you have soogyu being their perfect selves on this fic. I never reread lonfics like this from start to end, exactly because they take so much time but I dont regret doing this with them!!! The story was just as exciting on a second read (tbh Ive read many scenes like a million times so idk if it counts as a second read) and I loved it just as much, if not even more because I noticed things I had missed the first time. I think theres gonna be another 3rd whole reread pending in another 6-7 months... I am just so obsessed with this fic -

Oh my god I never thought I would enjoy being transported back fo my fav HP book again after soooo many years but oh my GOD I had fun!!!!!!!!! My soogyu babies ahhhhh I am gonna cry they were so so sosoooo perfect especially my cutie patootie Beomie i love him sm I am so happy for both of them!!!!! And all the other charcaters too were just sooooo cute.....(Poor lil Hyunjin, I hope he is okay....) Honestly, this story was adorable and fun and exciting and had me at the edge of my seat. I really enjoyed this immensely, thank you once more ao3 user planetsoobin for being a god (among other amazing gods!!!) in the soogyu tag

Soobin’s breath punches out of his chest in an incredulous laugh.
Or; Soobin sees something he shouldn't and becomes the unwilling passenger on a smuggling run, stuck with a crew that distrusts him and promises to let him go home eventually.
But eventually turns out to be long enough to change too much.

I am so extremely GRATEFUL to have found this ABSOLUTE pretty pretty gem. It feels too good to be true, what do you mean ot5, soob-centric, hurt comfort fic that takes place in SPACE this feels like it was made for me, ot is everything Ive ever needed, I cant believe that I found this in the wild when I was desperate in the ot5 tag..... The writing is so so so beautiful and I love Soobin to the end of the world, actually I would follow any of them to the end of the world, this is so so fun, author thank you so much
Edit: now that it has ended I can confidently say that this is one of my fav fics ever I love LOVE love this story. Also I am so depressed to let them go:(
