“Or does excelling come from confidence?” San counters.
Wooyoung wriggles beneath him, trapped in the heat of the blankets. “You’re so mean to me! On this the morn’ of my fifth attempt at conjuring a familiar! What if my anger seeps into the spell and conjures something really disgusting like a millipede?”
San blows a raspberry on Wooyoung’s neck and climbs off him. “Then that’ll be your own fault, and you will have to live with your many-legged spirit-friend for all eternity.”
(Or: The ATEEZ coven gathers to witness as Wooyoung attempts once again to summon a familiar, prepared for an inevitable failure once more. Things go awry...))

"Fine," Kouyou sighs again. "I guess I don't want you to get murdered." Reaching out, he takes one of the guitar cases from Akira, moving it out of the way. "Like, what would people say if we had a dead bassist?" he continues, grinning as he bumps his knee against the case. "No one would ever want to come to one of our lives ever again, and then where would we be?"
"Thanks, man," Akira says dryly, sliding one knee into the back of the van and leaning forward to carefully fit the guitar case into place. "I can feel the love, you know, it really feels like you give a shit." He leans back and Kouyou catches the edge of a grin on his face, half-hidden in darkness. "If I die, I'm haunting your ass forever."
