Summary
After the loss of his parents and the mass exodus of Mistria's citizens post earthquake, March had enough loss for one lifetime. He closed his heart off to preserve the sanity he had left. He believed it was better off that way, until an irritating woman with a habit of getting in other people's business entered his life. The famous "ace of hearts" from the capital moves to Mistria for a fresh start, stirring things up in the process. She won't rest until everyone has found their perfect match. Something about him was intoxicating, he had begun to let up on his rude and diminishing comments, and it felt like the mystery of him was finally starting to unravel. Did he have a crush on me or something? What was with the blushing earlier? It was the summer heat, I’m definitely overthinking it. My mom did always used to say that boys would pull your pigtails if they liked you; I tried not to subscribe to that idea though, as you should treat the people you like with respect. Not everyone is like that though. Why did I even care so much? Did I have a crush on him? What a silly idea. Still, in my head I ran through and dissected all of our interactions, trying to find hidden meanings and trying to solve the mystery that he was.
