He had done everything he could to get back in, long after it didn’t matter anymore. He had clawed at it until his hands bled, pounded until his fingers bent and broke, and threw himself against it until his shoulder ached.

    When the light was extinguished from his world, Stolas didn’t even know it happened until hours too late. A new star was being born in a far off galaxy, a beautiful soon-to-be red dwarf that Stolas was delighted to watch grow. There were possibilities swirling in the new light, and Stolas was there to record them. He was entranced by this new creation, and it kept him longer than his work normally would…which meant he wasn’t even in Hell when his world shattered.
