Summary
So if he didn’t bring a guest, he’d be stuck at a table with Keeley and her new girlfriend, Ted with Sassy, and Rebecca. Rebecca and Sassy were okay—except in a show of solidarity with Keeley, Rebecca didn’t really talk to him anymore and Sassy was a bit much after a few drinks. He couldn’t imagine spending the entire night with that group and staying sane. Plus, showing up without a date gave the impression that he hadn’t moved on yet. Normally, he didn’t give a fuck about what impression he gave, but he didn’t want to look like the fucking pathetic, lonely wanker that he was. He couldn’t think of anybody he could invite—or would even want to invite—but there was one person who would probably find it just as tedious and awkward.
And, even better, Roy could make him go.
(Or Roy will take any excuse to ask Jamie on a date even though he's not ready to admit to himself if he wants to go on a date with Jamie)

Summary
“I just had to give Jamie the day off because Jamie, the fucking lynch pin in our entire fucking strategy, has not slept since before the Arsenal match.”
“Why hasn’t he slept?”
“Because all these twats won’t leave him the fuck alone.”
“That’s a bit harsh, isn’t it?”
“No.” Roy waved his phone around. “He’s bombarded with texts every day. He’s not sending out texts at fucking midnight because he needs ice cream and cuddle time.”
“That’s happening?”
“Constantly.”
(Or, Jamie just really wants to be there for his teammates, and Roy really wants to strangle anybody who doesn't put Jamie's wellbeing first)Bookmarked by Yoonseok33

Summary
“He’s probably busy, is all,” Roy says more casually than he feels, thinking about the last time he saw the younger man. His smile had been wide and he said all the right things, congratulated Roy on coming to fucking senses, told him not to be a big dumb twat again, gave his best to Keeley. Then told him not to worry about training the next day, that Roy should stay home, get back into his routine with Keeley, that Jamie would see him later. Then Jamie just stopped meeting with him.
(Or Roy thinks he knows what he wants until he loses everything.)

Summary
Everybody in the stadium jumped to their feet, screaming at the referee, and it took a couple of seconds for Keeley to realize there was something wrong.
“He might be hurt,” Rebecca said under her breath.
“Come on, Jamie,” Keeley whispered. “Come on. Come on, stand up.”
The team moved to him and then immediately began gesturing for the med staff. Keeley’s hands flew to her mouth, and she tore her attention away from Jamie’s prone body, looking for any hint on Roy’s face. He stood completely still, his hands clenched in tight fists as the physios rushed onto the pitch. Keeley refocused on Jamie, still repeating her plea for him to stand up, but he wasn’t moving. Summary
Sometimes, Roy got confused. Did he like Jamie because he reminded Roy so much of Keeley? Had he always liked Keeley for the very attributes he recognized in Jamie? Most confusing of all was how either one of them ever, for one minute, saw something in him. Why wouldn’t Jamie want to be with Keeley again, if he had the opportunity? Why shouldn’t Keeley want to give Jamie another chance? The arrogant, shallow, selfish little boy was gone, and now Jamie was discovering the man he was meant to be...
