Myung-gi shoots him a dubious look, shoulders tensing again like he's bracing for impact in whatever form it may come. But Su-bong doesn't have a beating in mind. Not this time. He tilts his head, eyes Myung-gi's spotless ears. When he lifts a hand, brushes his fingers against one of the lobes, Myung-gi's eyebrows furrow.
“What the hell are you–”
“You’ve never had your ears pierced?” Su-bong interrupts, almost absent-mindedly.
“What?”
He clicks his tongue. “You can't understand a basic-ass question, and you treat me like an idiot?”
Myung-gi rolls his eyes, reciprocates the rapper’s annoyance with a groan. “Why would you possibly need to know that?”
“Because, dummy,” Su-bong spells it out, jabs a finger against Myung-gi's forehead, “I want. To pierce. Your ear.”
Myung-gi has tried to evade his obligation to Thanos one too many times. Thanos decides the only solution is to pass him a friendly reminder.

Summary
To him, it was always Min-su. Min-su before everything. Min-su before the job, before sleeping, eating and drinking. If Min-su got plagued by the nightmares, full of blood and gunpowder and fear, Gyeong-su would've sacrificed his own sleep to ensure Min-su could at least close his eyes that night. He was no martyr for that, and these weren't really sacrifices. Compromises, of sorts. One night, it's he who's guarding his lover's sleep, the other night it's Min-su. Easy as that. An agreement that needed no words to be made, sealed with a single look in the eye and a tender kiss pressed to a wrist.
A story of a sword and a shield, of the one who sees and the one who is seen.
