Summary
Roald Ragnor was a seventeen-year-old libertine when his best friend, Jemis Greenwing, disappeared. After four years in a spiral, he wakes up in an unfamiliar place: the basement of Dorley Hall. His survival depends on his ability to adapt to the changes that the Hall enforces on Inductees, and his ability to mollify the other boys taken in to the Programme.
Meanwhile, Primrose Harper, a Dorley Graduate, lives a quiet, happy life as a law student until a set of surprises upend her life. First, she learns that her childhood friend, Roald Ragnor, has been taken by the same Programme that saved her. Then she finds out that her father—long presumed dead—is still alive. How will her quiet life change now that two important parts of her past are part of her present?
(Modern AU G&D that asks: What if our beloved characters' lives were upended by Dorley Hall?)
