    The door swung open, crimson glaring at emeralds.

    The hybrid eyed the other up and down, silently relieved the blue hedgehog was back in one piece. He wanted desperately to make sure Sonic was truly back in one piece, that he wouldn’t fade away if he looked away for just a moment, that he wouldn’t glitch painfully and fall into the black hedgehog’s arms once again.

    But Shadow didn’t dare show his feelings.

    «Oh, come on, don't play innocent with me. We both know you want to get in his underwear.»
