Nero doesn’t know whether to feel relieved or concerned that his guy is the same as every other flippant bastard of a boss he’s stood among the men of. As he’s trying to decide which, that same bastard’s hand grabs his jaw, forcing him to meet his eyes.
“Tell ya what though, I like the look of yours. I know just the way for you ta prove that you’ll put ya life on the line for me.” That same hand moves to the top of his head, forcing him to his knees.

“Kneel.”
The speed with which he obeys would be embarrassing for most men, but they both know it’s a sign of devotion and love. Reaching down he takes one of Tadashi’s wrists, lifting it just above his head and then letting it hang there as he opens the box. Tadashi’s eyes remain firmly on the floor as he removes the ring, a thinner band, non-descript, and lifts Tadashi’s pinky finger in order to slide it on. As it slips over the second knuckle, he meets Tadashi’s eyes again, a delight shining behind his grey eyes as Ainosuke reaches down to pet his head. It’s not a marriage proposal, that much is obvious, but even without taking the ring from his finger to inspect the engraving inside, it’s clear to him what this means.

Sometimes thinking about them feels like you’re in agony but you want nothing more than to be with them all the same?” Rutile starts rattling off symptoms if liking someone and Arthur can’t fathom why this is a feeling you’d want to have, it sounds awful. “Even when you’re apart you can’t stop thinking about them, it’s like they take over your brain and seeing them makes you feel like you could do anything.”
Except.
There is someone who fits some of those symptoms. Someone who’s been a part of his life for so long, who he was torn from and has only just been reunited with. Someone he wants the acknowledgement of and to sing the praises of to the world as a whole. Pressing his lips together, he turns his attention to his half drunk cup of tea. He can’t say what he’s thinking, even among friends if the thought he’s just had were to get out there could be an international scandal. People in Central Country already hold Oz in disdain, he’d hate to bring more of that upon him by leading people to believe that Oz has bewitched him into falling for him.
