Childe had huffed at the formal words, but for the first time he realized Zhongli and himself really had been hanging out endlessly for weeks on end. There wasn't more than a day where he had to go without the former Archon's company while in Liyue, so perhaps it made sense Zhongli was having him agree to some sort of contract for a break. It sounded like it was for work after all so Childe had agreed.
However, breaking that contract is too tempting after being deprived of the funeral parlor consultant's warm attentions. Tempting enough to accept the dire consequences of "The Wrath of the Rock".
