After the nth time a random stowaway appears, this one is a goddamn skeleton, Marco just sighs and points them in the direction of their new second division commander.
Because for some ungodly reason all they seem to care about is Whitebeard's newest son, Ace.
(Ace is very confused and has never met these people in his life.)
Or: The Strawhats will always only bow to one king, and Whitebeard is not that man. Unfortunately for everyone, that man is nowhere to be found.

Summary
The story begins in the aftermath of the Gray Terminal fire. Luffy and Ace aren’t just arguing—Ace goes as far as to say he never wanted a little sister in the first place. He recalls how Sabo once warned him that a little sister would be even more exhausting than a younger brother once she got older.
At just seven years old, little Luffy already knows one thing: nobody wants her. So she decides to find the only person who’s ever truly cared about her safety, aside from Makino, who's too busy, and Sabo, who's dead. Shanks.
She remembers a time when her grandfather taught her to shift into the form of a small monkey—a secret, inherited trick of the family. He had smiled, though there was a touch of sadness in his eyes, that she's just a little monkey.

Summary
Ace gets assaulted and Luffy and Sabo take it amongst themselves to help him. Along Ace's recovery he falls in love his his adoptive brothers even if they are older than him as he is 15 and they are 17, but that doesn't matter to them.
When Luffy and Sabo set out on their own when he's 17 he makes his own crew and set out until they join the Whitebeards and his brothers show up.
(This is the spin off story for my Fic "Even the strong deserve to be weak" this comes in after chapter 7. but can be read as a separate fic on its own)

Later Sabo wouldn’t even remember what was said. The exact order of events was quite blurry, especially after the branding. All he knows for certain is that he punched a royal brat in the face. Right in front of the King, the nobles, a contingent of Marines, and a Celestial Dragon.
How did he get from point A to point B? Punching an evil little brat giggling about the fire last night, absolutely pounding that punk into the ground, and then he was being pinned by a Marine Commander. His birth father talking talking talking complete nonsense.
