“Jax? Did he..? Did he threaten you?” Ragatha felt her heart drop, despite her talk with kinger she still couldn't help but blame herself for leaving Pomni with Jax, her hand wrapped the wooden arm of her rocking chair.
“What.? No! No no.. I'm worried for him, I mean..” she shuffled on ragatha's bed, “ I've never met someone before they abstracted but…” she could only make herself make eye contact for a second at a time before looking back at her hands, or the bed or anything else.

After they kill Caine, with no idea of what this could possibly mean for them, Zooble decides the best next step is to make a bar with their newly discovered "imagination" powers. Everyone just goes along with it because no one has any better ideas. And honestly? Yeah, a drink wouldn't hurt.
But things end up getting threateningly personal. With foggy brains and the possibilities of what "No Caine" could mean, there's a little too much liquor consumed. Gangle spirals. Pomni makes Jax spiral. And by spiral, I mean feel seen through all of his bullshit for the first time in a long time.

Pomni hadn't ever thought she'd wind up in a predicament where her and Jax would be on the same bed.
..Much less one where he'd be laying down whilst she straddled the width of his long torso, leaning towards his face with a makeup brush.
In fact, she never thought the guy would allow a makeup brush anywhere near his face. She's surprised he hasn't yet pushed her off and watched her roll to the floor with the widest of grins on his cheeks — that he hasn't laughed at whatever complaints she'd likely spew out at him in response.
You know, now that she's thinking of it, he's actually.. being surprisingly tolerable right now. The protests beforehand were one thing — the ones that whined and complained that "Makeup was for girls!" or that, "This stuff could be toxic; you never know, Pom-Pom!" — but for now, he seems to be okay.
Pomni does Jax's makeup, much to both their surprise.
