Summary
Quirks are grouped into categories, either being seen as useful and useless, heroic and villainous. To have one in either category can affect you in more ways then you imagine. But no-one ever talks about how a quirk alters your sense of mind. Izuku is one of these people, and to him, fire and burning are nothing to worry about which the world doesn't accept, so he'll make it accept him and those that he calls friends.

“Um, how are you feeling? I tried to treat you as best I could, but I’m not a doctor, obviously. Ha, ha,” there’s an awkward pause. Avery hates awkward pauses. “Oh uh- my name is-”
“Avery,” the knight interrupts.
Avery blinks at him. “You, uh, you know my name? Sorry, do we know each other?” Avery hadn’t recognized him.
The knight shifts. “...Do we- I don’t…” He takes a moment to continue, “...I know you.”
That’s not ominous at all. Avery feels a little caught off guard, here. “Right… I don’t recognize your armor. What’s your name?”
The knight takes a beat to respond. “I don’t… I can’t remember what it is.”
Avery raises an eyebrow - well, the slime above his left eye. “You remember my name, but not your own?”
“...Yes.”

After the information overloads his brain, D3rlord3 can’t remember anything. Except for Avery.
Avery just wanted to get away from the city server for a bit. He finds a guy passed out in a mine he didn’t make.
