Summary
What her body rejected, she yearned to feel. Nobody knew that nor did they understand it. They just saw that Thanatos’s hands turned away all life. Thus, she became known as the Daughter of Death. Thus, she became Aidonia’s Holy Maiden of War who turned away all life.
The people of Aidonia had brought her all their hurt and all their worst, and they had told her to give them mercy. So she did. She rejected them all. It became her duty.
Rejection from the Holy Maiden is a different kind of heartbreak- or so she had once heard someone say. It was death.
Still, Aidonia’s so-called Holy Maiden longed to feel. How incomplete was she, to not be able to embrace another living soul? People died in her arms, flowers withered on her fingertips, grass dried and cracked underneath her footsteps. She was the only one she knew of to suffer a curse like this.

Castorice's curse as a metaphor for being aroace. She learns to love herself and show her friends some love too.
