But at the end of the day, Wonwoo doesn’t initiate affection often and that’s that.
It still doesn’t justify why Mingyu stands absolutely flabbergasted when Wonwoo does something as simple as holding his hand voluntarily out of the blue, but Mingyu's always been one for the dramatics.
OR Mingyu's hopeless pining and Wonwoo's poor and failed attempts at flirting that have only succeeded in confusing Mingyu more.

Wonwoo blinked once, twice, thrice while processing whatever he just heard.
The silence was deafening to Hana's ears.
"I hope he does or else it would be really awkward", Wonwoo said with an embarrassing chuckle and a slightly amusing look on his face, "Well then, have a nice day ahead," he said as his eyes shifted behind Hana's back for a slight second.

It’s all very disorienting. The boy looks like Wonwoo and he doesn’t; has the same eyes and mouth and hair, but he’s also tall and twenty-something and hot, which Mingyu is suddenly and forcibly aware of. He’s an entire person, one with long legs and decent posture and a killer stare, and nothing like the timid, half-person Mingyu knew when they were kids.

Mingyu huffs, “how about a duel? It’s been long overdue, hasn’t it?” and Wonwoo snickers, “to prove what? You want your ass whooped?”
Mingyu laughs, “the winner gets the job” he declares and Wonwoo's eyes widen the slightest, interested.
Wonwoo hums, “Get ready to lose, Kim”
Mingyu scoffs, “get ready to feel pain, Jeon Wonwoo”
Or Wonwoo never cries but maybe, for Mingyu, he could spare some tears.
