Summary
Sam Winchester is left alone after Dean's Demon Deal comes due. How will he cope without his big brother? And what will happen when Dean comes back? Angels are around and the Apocalypse is ON. How do Sam's Powers change the universe we know?
This is a continuation of the Evolution series, and I strongly recommend you read the first four parts before tackling this one.
With this section, we go even more AU (although the overall timeline and story arc remain).
My goal is to update this weekly, most likely on Saturday or Sunday, until we get caught up to where this series is on FF.net. For those of you familiar with the story at that location, there some changes between that version and this, some of which are pretty major, starting with an entirely new scene in this first chapter.

This is a continuation of my Evolution series. I HIGHLY Recommend reading parts 1 - 3 first.
HOUSEKEEPING NOTES:
This covers s01-s03. I will be updating/rewriting some of the episodes in these 3 seasons/series, but not all of them. I'll always let you know which episode(s) we're in, after or between, and I'll do my best to specify an actual scene where necessary. I'll be just skipping over a whole slew of eps also, if nothing changes (for reasons), and I'll let you know that, too.The episodes I am going to update/rewrite may or may not include the actual episode dialogue, but there will always be some change that is central to THIS AU and the way things play out that I feel are important to the overall plot. If you see the series' dialogue, rest assure there's a change in there SOMEPLACE.
There will also, of course, be original content not taken from episodes.
One thing I do want to make clear is that there are some episodes where the original dialogue in the episode would just be WRONG in this AU (I'm looking at you, 'Scarecrow') but if it doesn't actually impact the PLOT, I MIGHT mention it in a note somewhere, but I won't show the change.

What if Sam's powers manifested earlier?
For the record, I actually like John Winchester, believe he did love both his sons very much, and think he did the best he could under really awful circumstances (not that his best was good ENOUGH, but...). In this story, however, John is a complete A-hole who blames Sam for Mary's death. He also has a tendency to listen to "other sources" regarding his son, which will cause... issues.
This first section covers Sam & Dean at ages 15 and 19, respectively, with flashbacks in later chapters to Sam at age 10.
I'm new to posting in AO3, and don't want to give TOO much of the plot away too early, so tags may change. This entire section is completed, but I am editing. I hope to post every couple of days, but will do my best to post at least once per week.

Summary
Deciding he has nothing left to lose, worn-out New York attorney Castiel Novak takes his dying father’s 1971 Dodge Challenger for a joyride only to end up wrapped around a tree with a severe concussion and memory loss, saved by an unknown hero on a dark road.
With the help of his colleague and friend, Sam Winchester, Castiel restores his father’s car to like-new. And now, with the help of Sam’s brother, Dean, an EMT who plays mechanic as a hobby, Castiel tries to overcome his newfound anxiety about driving through drag racing with Dean and his friends.
But Castiel finds himself irresistibly drawn to Dean, who offers himself as a distraction from Castiel’s problems and reveals to Castiel that the Winchesters have a dark past that Sam has never spoken about.
And, just like they drive, Castiel and Dean are fast and reckless, using each other to run from their own lives, which are connected more than Castiel realizes.
