FDNY Firefighter Dean Winchester has always felt like something is wrong with him. Like maybe he's supposed to be someone else, somewhere else. Or maybe he's not supposed to be here at all. After his mother died in a house fire when he was 4, Dean has spent his entire life raising his little brother, Sam, and trying to find himself while taking care of everyone else. Summary

Summary
Castiel, saved from the Empty from new God Jack Kline, disobeys orders not to interfere with humanity by answering the prayer of a dying Dean Winchester.
Castiel heals Dean with his fading grace - as they finally give in to their feelings for one another, and as Dean slowly becomes addicted to Castiel's grace. And the more grace Dean takes, the more Castiel realizes he's becoming something close to human, and all of the memories that Naomi erased are coming back. But Castiel can't let this stop him from saving Jack from the burden he should have never had - the burden of being the new God.
