When Toni rounds on them, the troglodytes, lead by one, Ophelia Sarkissian, just laugh. She gives them a black, towering glare and then pads down the hallways, so they can’t see how her face flushes with colour.
“Run, bitch!” Ophelia shouts after her.
She reaches the end of the corridor and pushes open the emergency exit, breathing in the cold, crisp air sharply, filling her lungs and finally allowing them to work. Suddenly, there’s a boy blocking her way. He’s around the same height as Toni, with long dark hair, blue-grey eyes and headphones in his ear, connected to a Walkman strapped to his hip.
