He might be dead in twenty-seven years or really old, Dick wasn't giving it much thought. Aging was a part of life and he was in his early forties, he wasn't going to get any younger... The presence finally revealed itself from the shadow from behind his armchair and loomed over the sitting man, air around them thickening. Hallorann was slightly unnerved by the company, but it happened so many times, he almost got used to it. His eyes were glued to the pages, he didn't even notice the clown's expression. The grin was still there, but there was something else in the way the yellow irises looked at him. Sadness? No, not really. Something more like regret and realization.
