Summary
Jayce finally makes a move to break the silence. “You-” his voice comes out as a croak, and he swallows. Tries again. “You really mean that?”
The incredulity to Jayce’s tone makes Viktor ache. He wants to rage, to unleash his ire upon those who have convinced Jayce that he is some sort of a burden, rather than the intelligent and competent young man that Viktor knows him to be. “When have I ever lied to you?” he responds simply.
The irrevocability to his words must be the thing to finally break Jayce. His expression crumples, and he tears his gaze away from Viktor, folding in on himself and burying his face into his knees even as his body stays angled toward Viktor’s. His shoulders begin to tremble ever so slightly.
Viktor’s veins are immediately awash in cold panic. He’s pushed too much, hasn’t he? He only wanted to assuage Jayce’s insecurities, not to … Gods, not to make him cry.
Jayce has issues with his self-worth. Viktor isn't going to let him suffer through them alone.

The young man turned his gaze to the tower window, staring longingly toward the horizon. The early morning sun had already begun to stream through, transforming his hair into a blazing, glowing gold, and a distant part of Din wondered what it would feel like to reach out and touch it.
“I want you to take me to the city,” the man finally said, turning resolutely back to Din. “Just for a day. Those are my terms.”
Din blinked. “That’s it?"

Summary
Din noted the girl’s uniform hanging off her small frame, the oil and grease caked on her face, the callouses on her hands. “That’s no life for a kid.”
She shrugged. “It’s all I got.”
Din was at the tail end of a very long, difficult day. If he had any sense, he’d express his sympathy to the girl for her situation, pick up the bounty, and go back to his ship so he could claim the reward and finally get a good night’s sleep.
But apparently Din did not have any sense, if what he said next was any indication.
“Would you like to come with me?”

Summary
Observation 1 : Jayce is terrible at taking care of himself. It is a regular occurrence that he neglects sleep, nutrition and his own mental health in favour of work. The consequences are numerous and detrimental to his well-being, as well as their progress on the Hexgates.
Observation 2 : Jayce is incredibly responsive to direct orders and praise, and seems—on a subconscious level—increasingly more willing to accomplish a task if given an outside command.
A hypothesis is drawn.

Summary

After a narrow escape at sea, Fjord finally accepts the truth: If he wants a future with Jester, he needs to confront his past. The journey will take the Mighty Nein through the winding alleys of Darktow, across the ballroom of an underwater palace, and into a hilltop temple shrouded in steam.
However, the Great Leviathan isn’t the only one watching them with plans for destruction and an appetite for revenge . . . .

He is not expecting Jayce Talis to live, or for the reluctant partnership that follows. It is only until Jayce can find a way off the island, after all, back to his home.
Fate or feelings will have no way of interfering with this agreement.

Summary
He walks toward Jayce, driven by a thousand hands on his back. Of people in that room, of ghosts, of his own mother. All pushing him toward Jayce and toward a future that metamorphosizes with every step he takes. Viktor can feel the winds shift and part of his story is wiped clean, unwritten by his own actions that night.
Viktor doesn’t look back. He allows Jayce to open the door for him, and steps out into the evening. The sunset is vibrant, gold and pink and explosive.
Feeling unaccepted by Piltover in the wake of his 28th birthday, Viktor returns to the Undercity for an annual festival to reconcile who he is with where he came from.
Things go south.

Summary
After two spur-of-the-moment hook ups, Viktor and Jayce agree to regularly sleep together. It would be a shame to waste their sexual compatibility, after all, especially as friends. So long as they follow the rules they made for their arrangement, Viktor can pretend that this is all he wants. Jayce can swallow down any other feelings that bubble up.
(Un)fortunately, Viktor and Jayce were never ones to follow the rules.
Or,
Jayce and Viktor agree to be FWB. It goes about as well as you'd expect.
