The words didn’t even register for a second and then the meaning of them hit Mike all at once. His head snapped towards his desk where Dustin was sitting and he felt his stomach drop.The desk drawer was opened. There was a familiar notebook in Dustin’s hands and he seemed to be flipping through with a particular expression on his face.

His voice was thick. “Not while breath remains in me.” He drew Will’s trousers away with the same reverence one might use to unwrap a holy relic. For a long heartbeat he simply gazed, drinking in every line, every vulnerable inch. “You are the most beautiful thing the gods ever allowed to walk this broken world,” he said quietly. “And I am only a man who has been given more grace than he deserves.”

Mike Wheeler does not like to be fucked in the ass.
But he currently is. Metaphorically, spiritually, and, as far as his living situation is concerned, quite literally.
He’s being fucked over by the rent prices in the East Village. He’s being fucked over by the pollen count currently turning his sinuses into a war zone. And most importantly, he is being fucked over by the man currently standing in his living room—a man who looks exactly like him.
A man currently kissing Will’s knuckles.
"Kill me," Mike whispers into the collar of his Mudhoney sweatshirt. It smells like three-day-old American Spirits and tragedy. "Just kill me now."
