Summary
Just as his head collides with the mound of feathers, Stede starts to stir.
Blinking slowly his eyes settle on Ed's pained face, "Love, is everything quite alright?", he questioned, concern evident on his face.
Biting back another groan, Ed spoke through gritted teeth, "Yep, all fine mate, all just totally fine."
Stede sat up untangling his legs from Ed's causing Ed to gasp sharply in shock.
"Ed, darling, please tell me what's wrong, what can I do?"
"It's nothing, Stede, just an old injury. I'll be okay- can you just pass me my brace?"
Ed sighed, pushing himself up into a seated position, attempting to move his painful knee as little as possible. Stede carefully climbed out of bed.
"Of course I'll get it for you, but I do think you should stay in bed and rest. I can see the pain on your face, my darling."
The stare Ed levelled him with was one of someone that was incredibly annoyed. "I know my limits, Stede."
orEd has chronic knee pain and Stede wants to help alleviate some of his pain
