This feels much bigger than a performance. The Capitol has seen me and my brother growing up. The children of a beloved Victor that never really hid away from their eyes. They've wondered about our adventures and asked for my magic tricks, over and over. Here they have them. Not in the lighthouse where they were born, but on an enormous stage, close enough to touch.
A contract that has given them just a glimpse of the Lighthouse Ghost. Just enough to forget my catchphrase about ghosts never getting caught.
And now, with the crowd applauding, chanting my name as I bow down, I know the inevitable truth: They can't wait to see me die.

When President Snow announces that the 25th Hunger Games will forever be marked by it's milestone as a Quarter Quell, and endure the special change of voting candidates into the games instead of randomised reaping, the districts scramble to vote in their tributes and eagerly await reaping day.
Huck Ploughman thinks the games will be an easy miss, but when the whole world turns on him, he finds it difficult to simply give up- despite his deepest desires.
