    Tony Stark was arrogant by nature, and recruiting a high-school kid for his team wasn’t even the craziest thing he’d ever done, even with all the safety features he packed into the suit, he knew exactly how insane it was.

    But looking at the Spider-Man currently turning the situation into an even bigger mess (and apparently suffering from a split personality), he felt a flicker of regret for the first time.

    What if the bullet the Punisher fired at Jean triggered the Phoenix Force, sending the two super‑powered individuals at its epicentre back in time?
